There are 2 major types of prosthesis which are

  1. Fixed Prosthesis –  veneer, crown, bridge – Veneers and crowns are for major loss of tooth surfaces or as the final restoration of root canal treated tooth. Therefore, bridges substitute the space of missing tooth which normally only use for a single tooth missing. The fixed type is comfortably use but you need to take good care of oral hygiene.
  2. Removable Prosthesis – metal/acrylic removable partial denture, completed denture – After you have losing your teeth, the removable denture is necessary for replacing the edentulous area for the better oral health. According to removability, the dentures should wear only daytime and take off to clean after meals and also at night.
